Hello, I'm Ian Thorp. I am a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in English and a certificate in the school's Professional Writing and Technical Communication program. I love reading and writing, especially writing that is clear and lucid, which may be why I enjoy technical writing in the first place. My technical writing and academic courses have helped me to develop my own writing style to coherently communicate with others.

I originally started studying computer engineering, so I have some experience with more STEM-type work as well. I have a basic understanding of programming in Java, as well as several Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Premiere. My personal creative endevours making YouTube videos for fun analyzing different classic literature that can be found in the manga One Piece. My other hobbies include running, hiking, and listening to progressive rock. Currently reading: Paradise Lost.
